Water Utilities & Municipal Compliance

The EPA and HHS announced the first federal moves toward regulating microplastics in U.S. drinking water in April 2026. Most existing monitoring infrastructure cannot detect nanoplastics at the concentrations that matter. Dr. Ndukaife works with utilities to assess current detection capability, understand the regulatory landscape, and prepare for future regulatory needs.

Food-contact plastics, medical supplies, and beverage packaging can leach nanoplastic particles — at rates that standard testing cannot not measure. Manufacturers, retailers, and legal teams work with the Dr. Ndukaife for independent nanoplastics leaching assessment and expert review of existing product safety data.
